New Hamburg uses big second period to beat Delhi, 5-1

The Delhi Travellers allowed the New Hamburg Firebirds to net three goals during the second period and fell, 5-1.

New Hamburg was sparked by Ethan Adair, who registered one goal. Adair scored on the power play 3:48 into the second period to make the score 2-0 New Hamburg. The Firebirds had taken the advantage when Delhi's Dylan Wales got sent off for cross checking. Chris Eckert picked up the assist.

New Hamburg excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Firebirds kept the Travellers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Kodie Oude made 46 saves on 51 shots.

New Hamburg additionally got points from Tyler Kleine, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Tyler Randerson, who also had one goal and one assist, and Brodie Muckler, who also racked up one goal and one assist. New Hamburg also got a goal from Adam Zehr as well. In addition, New Hamburg received assists from Quinten Haddock, Mario Alyas, David Jennings, and Carter Tracey, who contributed one each.

Tanner Topham recorded 23 saves for New Hamburg. The Firebirds incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Delhi incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
