The Norwich Merchants could not stop the Paris Mounties' Brady Wheelans, who tallied a hat trick in a 9-3 win. Wheelans' first goal came 8:58 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:03 into the second and at 17:16 into the second.Norwich fell victim to a deadly Paris power play, which ripped the Merchants for four goals. The Mounties stifled Norwich's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Merchants were unable to stop Paris from sending pucks towards the net, and the Mounties eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. Paris' goal total was higher than its season average. The Mounties average 4.8 goals per game. Paris got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. The Mounties found themselves short handed often, totaling 30 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays. Paris additionally got points from Keegan Alvestad, who also had one goal and one assist and Graham Evans, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Paris also had goals scored by Austin Sine, who had two and Brett Wilson and Brayden Lane, who each put in one. Slaght scored 59 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Paris. Ray Munro picked up the assist. Others who scored for Norwich included Jamie Kelly and Zack Morrison, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Norwich were Jordan Gillis, who had one. Zach Shomphe made 21 saves for Paris on 24 shots. Andrew Lefebvre rejected 35 shots on goal for Norwich.
