The Wellesley Applejacks and the Woodstock Navy Vets skate to 3-3 (OT) tie

Braden Hutchison banged in two goals and Chris Thompson also chipped in one point, but Woodstock tied Wellesley,.

The Navy Vets were unable to stop the Applejacks from sending pucks towards the net, and Wellesley eventually piled up 50 shots on goal. The Applejacks had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on nine chances.

Wellesley was helped by Nick Breault, who finished with one goal and one assist. Breault scored 13 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-2. Cal Jefferies provided the assist. Wellesley also got points from Sean McEwan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Wellesley also got a goal from Brenden Goran as well. Other players who recorded assists for Wellesley were Nathan Schlupp and Justin Lebold, who contributed one each.

Woodstock forced the Applejacks goalie Ryan Porter to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. The Navy Vets could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 48 minutes in penalties during the game.

In addition, Woodstock received assists from Jack Taylor, Dan Haig, Tyler Arsenault, Dylan Wettlaufer, Austin Whetham, and Jake Schneider, who each chipped in one.

Porter recorded 37 saves for Wellesley. The Applejacks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. North Davies made 47 saves for Woodstock on 50 shots. The Navy Vets registered two goals on seven power play opportunities.
