The Paris Mounties' Brodie Smith scored 1:07 into overtime to beat the Wellesley Applejacks, 6-5 (OT). Smith had a great game for Paris, netting two goals. The Mounties stifled Wellesley's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Paris kept the Applejacks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Porter made 28 saves on 34 shots. Paris also got points from Brady Wheelans, who also had two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Paris also had goals scored by Cole Corriveau and Tysen Willemsen, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Paris were Garrett Kirby, who had two, Keegan Alvestad, who had three, and Austin Sine and Vincent Robbins, who each chipped in one. Wellesley forced the Mounties goalie Garret Macleod to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. The Applejacks' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Wellesley was led by Joe Heath, who tallied one goal and two assists. Heath scored 1:35 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Nicholas Breault picked up the assist. Wellesley additionally got points from Greg Huber, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Alex Uttley, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Wellesley included Shaun Pickering and Nick Mercier, who scored one goal each. In addition, Wellesley received assists from Jake Wilkinson, Brady Gerber, and Scott Martin, who contributed one each. Paris' Macleod stopped 26 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Mounties incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Paris ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Wheelans was ejected from the game. The Applejacks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
