Ayr downs Norwich in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Ayr Centennials' Riley Clipper scored 2:33 into overtime to beat the Norwich Merchants, 4-3 (OT).

Ayr was sparked by Clipper, who grabbed one goal.

The Centennials forced Norwich goalie Andrew Hawkins to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Ayr additionally got points from Cash Seraphim, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Ayr also had goals scored by Jackson White and Mitch Klie, who each put in one. In addition, Ayr received assists from Jake Whibbs, who had two and Ben Roelofson, Tyler Harrison, John Nay, and Felix Lantaigne, who each chipped in one.

The Merchants were helped by Zack Morrison, who registered one goal. Morrison scored on the power play 55 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-2 Norwich. Norwich had taken the advantage when Ayr's Lantaigne got sent off for hooking. Derek Slaght assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Norwich included Brett Parsons and Jesse Dunn, who scored one goal each. More assists for Norwich came via Ryan Dayman, Jamie Kelly, Ray Munro, and Noah Burns, who contributed one each.

The Centennials' Mitch Figueirdo stopped 20 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Ayr incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Hawkins rejected 33 shots on goal for the Merchants. Norwich incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
