The Ayr Centennials were firing on all cylinders against the Burford Bulldogs, and when the final buzzer sounded Centennials emerged with a 9-1 win.

Ayr got the win thanks to a great game by Tyler Harrison, who had two goals and one assist. Harrison scored the first of his two goals at 10:15 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Ayr. Quinn Diamond assisted on the tally. Harrison's next tally made the score 8-1 Ayr with 4:05 left in the third period. The Centennials had gained a power play chance when Connor MacKay was whistled for roughing. Diamond picked up the assist.

Burford was stymied by Ayr's netminder Mitch Figueirdo, who stopped 31 shots during the victory. Figueirdo certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.33 entering the contest.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 15:28 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

The Centennials racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with seven minors and two majors for 54 minutes in penalty time. Ayr surpassed its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game. The Centennials forced Bulldogs' goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, taking 56 shots and forcing 47 saves. Michael Black made 32 stops and Jack Stockdale made 15. Ayr excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Centennials' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Ayr averages 5.3 goals per contest.

Ayr also got points from Mitch Klie, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Zachary Masterson, who also registered two goals and one assist. Ayr also had goals scored by Riley Clipper and Yianni Skropolis, who scored two goals each. Other players who recorded assists for Ayr were Carver Ormiston and Brendan Schaefer, who each chipped in one and Mackenzie Kemp, Ben Roelofson, Jackson White, and John Nay, who contributed two each.

The Bulldogs were often in penalty trouble, totaling 10 minors and two majors for 60 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 23.0 minutes per game Burford had been spending in the box. The Bulldogs' offense operated below their season average. Burford averages 3.3 goals per game. The Centennials were unable to stop the Bulldogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Burford eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Ayr registered three goals on seven power play opportunities. Team's Cash Seraphim and Sean Mitchell were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. For the Bulldogs, Blaise Burtnick, Tyler Hinde, and Scott Penwarden were ejected from the contest.
