The New Hamburg Firebirds' Colin Martin scored 39 seconds into overtime to beat the Burford Bulldogs, 4-3 (OT). New Hamburg came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Firebirds fell behind 3-1 after a goal by Burford's Blaise Burtnick at 11:32 in the third period. New Hamburg knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Tyler Randerson at 18:46 in the third period. The Firebirds were led by Martin, who tallied one goal. New Hamburg managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Firebirds ended up below its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game. New Hamburg's offense rang up 50 shots on the Bulldogs' net.
