Paris blows out Delhi, 9-3

The Delhi Travellers had trouble finding ways to stop the Paris Mounties, which beat Travellers, 9-3.

Richard Brooks was all over the ice for Paris, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Brooks scored 15:09 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Paris. Griffin Heitshu picked up the assist.

The Mounties forced Delhi's goaltenders to work all game long, totaling 51 shots and forcing 42 saves. Mike Harrison made 24 stops and Kodie Oude made 18. Paris stifled the Travellers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Mounties surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Paris averages 4.6 goals per game. The Mounties' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

Paris also got points from Keegan Alvestad, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Brady Wheelans, who also had two goals and one assist, and Heitshu, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Paris also had goals scored by Brayden Lane, Austin Sine, Mikael Ruffini, and Patrick Snell, who each put in one. More assists for Paris came via Vincent Robbins, who had three and Brodie Smith, Ryan Stephenson, Cole Corriveau, and Garrett Kirby, who each chipped in one.

Delhi put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Paris to score on any of its five power plays.

Connor Curtin made 20 saves for the Mounties on 23 shots. Paris incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Travellers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
