Behind a great game by Jerry Ennett, who had two goals and one assist, the New Hamburg Firebirds defeated the Paris Mounties, 5-2. Ennett's tallies came on the power play at 11:02 into the second period to make the score 1-0 New Hamburg and 19:14 into the third to make the score 4-2 New Hamburg.New Hamburg excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Firebirds' offense rang up 37 shots on Paris' net. New Hamburg also had goals scored by Colin Martin, Ben Playfair, and Walker Davison, who scored one goal each. More assists for New Hamburg came via Ethan Adair, Tyler Hoffman, and Carter Tracey, who contributed one each. The Mounties could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Paris averages 4.4 goals per game. The Mounties forced New Hamburg goalie Tanner Topham to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. Paris was led by Richard Brooks, who registered one goal and one assist. Brooks scored 15:14 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Austin Kovrig provided the assist. Paris also got a goal from Griffin Heitshu as well. Other players who recorded assists for Paris were Austin Sine and Vincent Robbins, who each chipped in one.
