Seraphim nets hat trick, leads Ayr to 4-1 win over Paris

The Paris Mounties could not stop the Ayr Centennials' Cash Seraphim, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-1 win.

Seraphim's first goal came 4:56 into the second period. He then added goals at 3:59 into the third and at 19:46 into the third.

Ayr's Hayden Padalino was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 38 saves and let only one puck past him. Padalino managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.33 prior to the game.

The Centennials' offense rang up 33 shots on Paris' net.

Ayr also got a goal from Yianni Skropolis as well. More assists for Ayr came via Mitch Klie, who had two and Ben Roelofson, Coleton Madge, Jake Whibbs, Connor MacLean, and Sean Mitchell, who each chipped in one.

The Mounties stifled Ayr's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Paris' offense operated below its season average. The Mounties average 4.8 goals per game. Paris' offense rang up 39 shots on the Centennials' net.

The Mounties were led by Keegan Alvestad, who scored the team's only goal. Alvestad scored 14:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Paris. Cole Corriveau provided the assist.

Ayr incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Zach Shomphe made 29 saves for Paris on 32 shots. The Mounties incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
