Burford squeaks by Delhi, 4-2Delhi Community Centre Wed, Oct 28, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The game between the Burford Bulldogs and the Delhi Travellers was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Burford emerged with a 4-2 win. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Jesse Brooks at 18:31 of the third period. Brooks had two goals to lead the Bulldogs to victory. Delhi was unable to stop Burford from sending pucks towards the net, and the Bulldogs eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. Others who scored for Burford included Daiken Salsman and Scott Penwarden, who each put in one. More assists for Burford came via Mitch Randell, who had two and Connor MacKay, Nolan Ferris, Ryan McLeod, Josiah Vanwyngaarden, and Luc Hartholt, who each chipped in one. The Travellers' offense rang up 34 shots on Burford's net. Delhi was helped by Rhett Roney, who registered one goal. Roney scored on the power play 15:16 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Delhi. The Travellers had taken the advantage when the Bulldogs' Ferris got sent off for spearing. Jared Ebdon assisted on the tally. Delhi also got a goal from Quin Kramer as well. In addition, Delhi received assists from Joe Shaw, who had one. Jack Stockdale recorded 32 saves for Burford. The Bulldogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Delhi's Kodie Oude stopped 34 shots out of the 37 that he faced. The Travellers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
