The Norwich Merchants and the Delhi Travellers skate to 1-1 (OT) tieNorwich Community Center Fri, Oct 23, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Delhi rebounded from a one-goal deficit to tie Norwich,. The Merchants' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Delhi power plays. Norwich's offense rang up 66 shots on the Travellers' net. The Merchants could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 46 minutes in penalties during the game. Norwich was led by Adam Harris, who scored the team's only goal. Harris scored 2:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Norwich. Riley Monture provided the assist. Delhi put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Merchants to score on any of their five power plays. Norwich was unable to stop the Travellers from sending pucks towards the net, and Delhi eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. The Travellers were led by Colin Vandaele, who scored the team's only goal. Vandaele scored 19:41 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Mitchell Graham picked up the assist. Andrew Lefebvre made 37 saves for the Merchants on 38 shots. Mike Harrison rejected 65 shots on goal for Delhi. The Travellers incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
