The Tavistock Braves' Shaun Pickering scored 2:24 into overtime to beat the New Hamburg Firebirds, 6-5 (OT). Tavistock came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Braves trailed 5-3 after a goal by New Hamburg's Brodie Muckler at 16:13 in the third period. Tavistock knotted things up at 5-5 on a goal by Pickering at 18:38 in the third period. The Braves were relatively well disciplined in the game, receiving only nine minors and one major for 23 minutes in penalty time. Tavistock finished with less than its 35.0 minutes average penalties per game. The Braves forced the Firebirds goalie Tanner Topham to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots.
