The Burford Bulldogs fell behind early, and the New Hamburg Firebirds kept piling on the points on the way to an 11-2 victory. Mario Alyas was all over the ice for New Hamburg, as he tallied five goals and one assist in the win. Alyas notched his first tally 1:51 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:20 into the first, at 18:42 into the first, at 18:45 into the second, and at 2:30 into the third. The Firebirds forced Burford's goaltenders to work all game long, taking 40 shots and forcing 29 saves. Jack Stockdale made 12 stops and Riley Edwards made 17. New Hamburg outdid its season average for goals scored. The Firebirds average 4.6 goals per game. New Hamburg additionally got points from Tyler Randerson, who also registered one goal and three assists, Jerry Ennett, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Tyler Hoffman, who also had one goal and one assist, and Carter Tracey, who also tallied one goal and one assist. New Hamburg also had goals scored by Ethan Adair and Colin Martin, who each put in one. In addition, New Hamburg received assists from Andrew Boer, who had two, David Jennings, who had four, and Josh Waters, Chris Eckert, and Garrett Pollock, who contributed one each. The Bulldogs stifled New Hamburg's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ryan Purcell recorded 14 saves for the Firebirds. New Hamburg incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Burford incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
