Ayr takes care of Delhi early, wins 15-2

The Ayr Centennials opened up a five-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 15-2 win over the Delhi Travellers.

Ayr got the win with help from a great game by Cash Seraphim, who had four goals and one assist. Seraphim's first goal came 11:21 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:46 into the first, at 7:00 into the second, and at 18:43 into the second.

The Centennials forced Travellers' netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, firing 42 shots and forcing 27 saves. Kodie Oude made 11 stops and Mike Harrison made 16. Ayr found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Centennials average 5.8 goals per game.

Ayr additionally got points from Riley Clipper, who also tallied three goals and one assist, Tyler Harrison, who also registered one goal and two assists, Carver Ormiston, who also had one goal and two assists, and John Nay, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ayr also had goals scored by Yianni Skropolis, who had three and Jake Whibbs and Austin Kovrig, who each put in one. In addition, Ayr received assists from Sean Mitchell, who had two, Connor MacLean, who had four, Mitch Klie, who had five, and Mackenzie Kemp, Ben Roelofson, Quinn Diamond, Jordan Pettitt, Felix Lantaigne, and Ryan Hergott, who each chipped in one.

Delhi managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Travellers ended up below its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game.

Hergott rejected 23 shots on goal for Ayr. The Centennials incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Delhi registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
