Huge game by McNutt boosts Caledon over Penetang, 10-3Caledon East Arena Sun, Oct 11, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Caledon Golden Hawks' Nicholas McNutt had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing five assists in his team's 10-3 win over the Penetang Kings. McNutt found the back of the net on the power play 19:59 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Caledon and again while 18:19 into the second to make the score 7-0 Caledon.Caledon excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Golden Hawks bested their season scoring average. Caledon has scored at the pace of 3.7 goals per game during the current campaign. Caledon additionally got points from Tyler Whitten, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Ryan Mouser, who also had two goals and one assist, James Pitsadiotis, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Daniel Cafagna, who also finished with two goals and two assists. Caledon also had goals scored by Seamus ONeil and Christian Mariconda, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Caledon were Avery Rodriguez, who had two and Matt Magliozzi, Sean Nottle, and Michael Andrews, who each chipped in one. Penetang kept the Golden Hawks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Sam Procopio made 28 saves on 31 shots. The Kings struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 28 penalty minutes for eight opposing power plays. Penetang was led by Matt Gill, who tallied one goal and one assist. Gill scored 13:28 into the third period to make the score 10-1 Caledon. Matt Meher picked up the assist. Others who scored for Penetang included Brad Kuepfer and Caleb Stephens, who scored one goal each. More assists for Penetang came via Dustin Moore, Matt Prucha, and Andrew North, who contributed one each. Caledon incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Hunter Ferguson made 18 saves for the Kings on 28 shots. Penetang ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Michael Greco was ejected from the game.
