The Alvinston Flyers' Karsten Berg had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing four assists in his team's 11-2 win over the Wallaceburg Lakers.

Berg's tallies came at 19:36 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Alvinston and 13:43 into the third to make the score 9-1 Alvinston.

Alvinston was led by goalie Cam MacAlpine, who finished with 25 saves while allowing one goal. MacAlpine certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 4.62 entering the contest.

The Flyers forced Wallaceburg's netminders to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots and forcing 40 saves. George Hill made 39 stops and Alex Carriere made one. Alvinston surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Flyers average 3.5 goals per game.

Alvinston additionally got points from Hunter Bryce, who also had one goal and four assists, Fraser Wilson, who also registered one goal and one assist, Zach VanEyk, who also grabbed three goals and one assist, Tyler Shaw, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Tyler Clark, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Alvinston included Dakota Manning and Jordan Hayes, who each put in one. More assists for Alvinston came via Carter Campbell, who had two and Mark McNally, Colin Leyton, and Devon Brown, who contributed one each.

Alvinston was unable to stop the Lakers from sending pucks towards the net, and Wallaceburg eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

The Lakers were helped by Keenan Clark, who registered one goal. Clark scored 14:05 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Justin Melo picked up the assist. Wallaceburg also got points from Kadin Ritchie, who also registered one goal and one assist.

The Flyers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Wallaceburg incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Lakers, Alex Ritchie was ejected from the game.
