Hakr stymies Wallaceburg, Mooretown wins 4-1

Nolan Hakr had a standout game with 28 saves, and the Mooretown Flags beat the Wallaceburg Lakers 4-1.

Mooretown was sparked by Trevor Bogaert, who grabbed one goal. Bogaert scored 14:43 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Mooretown. Cameron Rannie provided the assist.

The Flags put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Wallaceburg to score on any of its three power plays. The Lakers were unable to stop Mooretown from sending pucks towards the net, and the Flags eventually piled up 59 shots on goal.

Mooretown also had goals scored by Nolan Riley, Joe DeSena, and Colton Osborne, who scored one goal each. In addition, Mooretown received assists from Mike Kindrachuk, Landon Wilson, and Jeff Brown, who contributed one each.

Wallaceburg was led by Bronson Bea, who scored the team's only goal. Bea scored 6:34 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Tyler McLean picked up the assist.

Mooretown incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Lakers' George Hill stopped 55 shots out of the 59 that he faced. Wallaceburg incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
