Blenheim downs Lakeshore in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Blenheim Blades' Bryan Boersma scored 5:51 into overtime to beat the Lakeshore Canadiens, 3-2 (OT).

Blenheim overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Blades fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Lakeshore's Sebastian Kanally at 6:41 in the second period. Blenheim tied things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Nick Delyzer at 15:38 in the third period.

The Blades were paced by Boersma, who tallied one goal and one assist.

Blenheim forced the Canadiens goalie Colin Tetreault to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Kier Cumming also scored for Blenheim. In addition, Blenheim received assists from Brayden Seliga, Brayden Hopkins, Drew Marlatt, Bryce Broad, and Corbin Hagerman, who each chipped in one.

Lakeshore's offense operated below its season average. The Canadiens average 4.3 goals per game. Lakeshore's offense rang up 37 shots on the Blades' net.

Lakeshore also got a goal from Steven Sartor as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lakeshore were Dylan Kolic, Brenden Crundwell, Mejoe Gasparovic, and Guy Levesque, who contributed one each.

Blenheim's Klinton Kenney stopped 35 shots out of the 37 that he faced. The Blades incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Tetreault rejected 31 shots on goal for the Canadiens. Lakeshore incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
