Luke Gangnon gave the Amherstburg Integrity Admirals the lead in the first period, and the Wheatley Omstead Sharks was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 3-2. Amherstburg took over the lead for good with a goal by Gangnon at 1:24 in the first period. Chad Copeland assisted on the tally.The Integrity Admirals' penalty kill excelled, as Amherstburg gave up one goal despite allowing nine power plays. The Integrity Admirals were paced by Dylan Muzzatti, who tallied one goal. Muzzatti scored 19:00 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Amherstburg. Curtis Prymack picked up the assist. Amherstburg could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. Amherstburg also got points from Copeland, who also registered one goal and one assist. Amherstburg also got a goal from Ryan Holzel as well. Other players who recorded assists for Amherstburg were Michael Hatch, Blaine Bechard, and Jordan Luciw, who contributed one each. Wheatley's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Amherstburg power plays. The Omstead Sharks were helped by Justin Pinsonneault, who grabbed one goal. Pinsonneault scored on the power play 1:55 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Amherstburg. A cross checking penalty on Bechard had put Wheatley on the power play. Frankie Ciacelli provided the assist. Jack Leafeve also scored for Wheatley. In addition, Wheatley received assists from Brett Bowman and Lucas Raffoul, who each chipped in one. The Integrity Admirals' Daniel Tonietto stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Amherstburg ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Bechard was ejected from the game. Eric Morneau rejected 22 shots on goal for the Omstead Sharks. Wheatley incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. For the Omstead Sharks, Nick Tavolieri-Essex was ejected from the game.
