The Lakeshore Canadiens pulled out a 7-6 (OT) overtime victory over the Wheatley Omstead Sharks on a clutch goal by Brandon Ireland. Lakeshore came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Canadiens fell behind 4-2 after a power play goal by Wheatley's Brett Bowman at 7:07 in the second period. Lakeshore knotted things up at 6-6 on a goal by Logan Percy at 15:46 in the third period. With three goals and four assists between them, JJ Percy and Ireland teamed up to power the Canadiens' offense. Percy registered two goals and two assists and Ireland also notched one goal and two assists. Lakeshore forced the Omstead Sharks goalie Adam Leboeuf to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots. The Canadiens surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Lakeshore has scored at the pace of 4.1 goals per game during the current campaign. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. The Canadiens struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 36 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays. Lakeshore also got points from Ireland, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Zack Bedard, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Lakeshore also had goals scored by Steven Sartor and Brenden Crundwell, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Lakeshore were Sebastian Kanally, who had four and Colin Sartor, Joe Binder, Aaron Moore, and Mejoe Gasparovic, who each chipped in one.
