Integrity Amherstburg rolls over Blenheim, 5-1

The Integrity Amherstburg Admirals were firing on all cylinders against the Blenheim Blades, and when the final buzzer sounded Admirals emerged with a 5-1 win.

Integrity Amherstburg was led by goalie Connor Meyerink, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. Meyerink managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.13 prior to the game.

The Admirals were led by Joseph Bouzide, who tallied one goal. Bouzide scored 4:35 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Integrity Amherstburg. Blake Rutckyj picked up the assist.

Integrity Amherstburg's offense rang up 37 shots on Blenheim's net.

Integrity Amherstburg also got points from Ryan Holzel, who also registered one goal and one assist, Dylan Muzzatti, who also had one goal and one assist, and Broden Meloche, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Integrity Amherstburg also got a goal from Ryan Alexander as well. Other players who recorded assists for Integrity Amherstburg were Curtis Prymack, who had two and Lucas Bersuk and Mitchell Holden, who contributed one each.

The Blades could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Blenheim puts an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game.

The Admirals incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Integrity Amherstburg ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Alexander was ejected from the game. Klinton Kenney recorded 32 saves for the Blades. Blenheim totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. For the Blades, Hunter Burk was ejected from the game.
