Lakeshore outlasts Blenheim, 4-3

The Lakeshore Canadiens and the Blenheim Blades were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Lakeshore made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-3.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Hunter Corp secured the win for the Canadiens with a goal in the third period.

Lakeshore was led by Corp, who tallied one goal. Corp scored 13:11 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Lakeshore. Mejoe Gasparovic assisted on the tally.

Blenheim was unable to stop the Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and Lakeshore eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Lakeshore additionally got points from Zack Bedard, who also registered one goal and one assist and Aaron Moore, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Lakeshore also got a goal from Brenden Crundwell as well. In addition, Lakeshore received assists from Colin Sartor, Kyle Gagnon, and Steven Sartor, who contributed one each.

The Blades were helped by Kellen Kaniecki, who finished with one goal. Kaniecki scored 6:28 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Brayden Seliga picked up the assist. Others who scored for Blenheim included Hunter Burk and Matt Clark, who scored one goal each. More assists for Blenheim came via Doug Ross, Justin Delgado, and Nolan VandenBoorn, who each chipped in one.

The Canadiens' Colin Tetreault stopped 27 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Lakeshore ended with no penalties and went 1-for-2 on the power play. Klinton Kenney rejected 34 shots on goal for Blenheim. The Blades incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
