The Wheatley Omstead Sharks tried their best to erase a five-goal deficit, but the Integrity Amherstburg Admirals would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 6-4. Integrity Amherstburg made the score 6-1 on a goal by Ryan Alexander at 42 seconds in the third period, and Wheatley got as close as 6-4 when Delaney MacDonald scored 19:25 into the third period. Alexander was all over the ice for the Admirals, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Alexander scored the first of his two goals at 7:36 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Integrity Amherstburg. Chad Copeland provided the assist. Alexander's next tally made the score 6-1 Integrity Amherstburg with 19:18 left in the third period. Jordan Luciw assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Integrity Amherstburg included Blaine Bechard, Lucas Bersuk, Dylan Muzzatti, and Mitchell Holden, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Integrity Amherstburg were Zack Yott, who had one. The Omstead Sharks were led by Andreas Gossmann, who racked up two goals and one assist. Gossmann scored the first of his two goals at 5:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wheatley. Brian Johnson provided the assist. Gossmann's next tally made the score 6-3 Integrity Amherstburg with 6:00 left in the third period. Wheatley had gotten the advantage when Integrity Amherstburg's Yott was sent off for roughing. Kristian Brockelbank assisted on the tally. Mitchell Prudence also scored for Wheatley. In addition, Wheatley received assists from Brett Bowman, who had two and Cole Butler and Mitch Lantin, who contributed one each. Daniel Tonietto rejected 15 shots on goal for the Admirals. Integrity Amherstburg incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Omstead Sharks took out Adam Leboeuf after he had made 13 saves and installed Eric Morneau in goal, where he finished with four saves and the loss. Wheatley incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
