The Dresden Kings beat the Integrity Amherstburg Admirals, 4-2, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. Dillon Liberty provided Dresden with the game-winning tally when he scored 8:30 into the first period. Kyle Dawson picked up the assist.The Kings were led by Derek Daly, who finished with one goal. Daly scored 17:28 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Dresden. Dayne Davis provided the assist. Dresden put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Integrity Amherstburg to score on any of its three power plays. Dresden additionally got points from John Montgomery, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Dresden also got a goal from Isaac McLean as well. More assists for Dresden came via Tyler Hotham and Will Tetzlaff, who contributed one each. The Admirals did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Integrity Amherstburg averages 4.6 goals per game. The Admirals kept the Kings' goalie busy throughout the game, and Travis Moore made 34 saves on 36 shots. Integrity Amherstburg was helped by Ryan Holzel, who tallied one goal. Holzel scored 7:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Dylan Muzzatti picked up the assist. Caleb Paquette also scored for Integrity Amherstburg. In addition, Integrity Amherstburg received assists from Broden Meloche, Blake Rutckyj, and Spencer McConville, who each chipped in one. Dresden incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Kings, Dawson was ejected from the game. Connor Meyerink recorded 24 saves for the Admirals. Integrity Amherstburg incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
