Rutckyj's goals lift Integrity Amherstburg to 3-1 victory over Essex

Blake Rutckyj was all over the ice for the Integrity Amherstburg Admirals, as he tallied two goals in Integrity Amherstburg's 3-1 win over the Essex 73s.

Rutckyj scored on the power play at 13:18 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Integrity Amherstburg and again while 16:47 into the third to make the score 3-1 Integrity Amherstburg.

The Admirals were led by goalie Daniel Tonietto, who finished with 36 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Tonietto will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.77.

Integrity Amherstburg's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Essex power plays. The Admirals' offense rang up 35 shots on Essex's net.

Integrity Amherstburg also got a goal from Dylan Muzzatti as well. More assists for Integrity Amherstburg came via Blaine Bechard, who had two and Curtis Prymack, Ryan Holzel, Ryan Alexander, and Broden Meloche, who each chipped in one.

The 73s were held below their usual level of production. Essex puts an average of 4.9 pucks into the net per game. The 73s' offense rang up 37 shots on Integrity Amherstburg's net.

Essex was led by Tyler Boughner, who scored the team's only goal. Boughner scored 10:45 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Matthew Rosati picked up the assist.

The Admirals incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Trevor Wheaton made 32 saves for the 73s on 35 shots. Essex incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The 73s ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Phil Janikowski was ejected from the game.
