The Integrity Amherstburg Admirals took the lead against the Essex 73s in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-0 victory.

A goal 10:11 into the first period by Blaine Bechard proved to be the game winner, and powered Integrity Amherstburg to the victory. Curtis Prymack picked up the assist.

The Admirals were boosted by Connor Meyerink, who turned in a shutout with 30 saves. Meyerink managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 0.94 prior to the game.

Integrity Amherstburg was paced by Bechard, who registered one goal.

The Admirals' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Essex power plays. Integrity Amherstburg's offense operated below its season average. The Admirals average 5.5 goals per game.

Integrity Amherstburg also got a goal from Dylan Muzzatti as well. In addition, Integrity Amherstburg received assists from Mitchel Holden, who had one.

Essex stifled Integrity Amherstburg's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The 73s could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Essex puts an average of 5.2 pucks into the net per game.

The Admirals incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Trevor Wheaton made 23 saves for the 73s on 24 shots. Essex incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
