Lakeshore downs Blenheim, 5-2Atlas Centre Fri, Sep 18, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Austin Jennings tallied one point to lead the Lakeshore Canadiens to a 5-2 victory over the Blenheim Blades. Blenheim was unable to stop Lakeshore from sending pucks towards the net, and the Canadiens eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. Lakeshore was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to one goal off of 10 man advantages. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Lakeshore also got points from Brenden Crundwell, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Lakeshore also got a goal from Colin Sartor as well. In addition, Lakeshore received assists from Dylan Kolic, who had two and Steven Sartor, JJ Percy, and Aaron Moore, who each chipped in one. The Blades' offense rang up 32 shots on the Canadiens' net. Blenheim was helped by Drew Marlatt, who had one goal. Marlatt scored 24 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-2. Kirk McKillop picked up the assist. Nolan VandenBoorn also scored for Blenheim. More assists for Blenheim came via Matt Clark, Dylan Hathaway, and Zack Horvath, who contributed one each. Colin Tetreault rejected 30 shots on goal for Lakeshore. The Canadiens ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Lakeshore ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Joe Binder was ejected from the game. Eric Stewardson made 30 saves for the Blades on 35 shots. Blenheim incurred 42 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Blades, Clark was ejected from the game.
