Alvinston falls to Dresden in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Brady Hogg gave the Dresden Kings a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Alvinston Flyers when he scored 1:41 into the extra period.

Will Tetzlaff had two goals to lead Dresden to victory. Tetzlaff scored at 47 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 10:37 into the third to make the score 2-1 Dresden.

The Kings' offense rang up 48 shots on Alvinston's net.

More assists for Dresden came via Derek Shaw, who had two and Dillon Liberty, Kevin Ritzer, and Derek Daly, who contributed one each.

The Flyers did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Alvinston was helped by Jordan Hayes, who finished with one goal. Hayes scored 18:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Alvinston. Karsten Berg provided the assist. Alvinston also got points from Berg, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Alvinston received assists from Clint Rose, Kole Keating, and Kirklin Dorman, who each chipped in one.

Joel Sowinski rejected 28 shots on goal for Dresden. The Kings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities. Cam MacAlpine recorded 45 saves for the Flyers. Alvinston registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
