Thunder AAA Hockey survives Boston Advantage (MM) comeback, wins 5-3

Boston Advantage (MM) tried its best to erase a four-goal deficit, but Thunder AAA Hockey would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3.

Thunder AAA Hockey made the score 5-1 on a goal by JAKE FRIEDMAN at 3:16 in the third period, and Boston Advantage (MM) got as close as 5-3 when Jake Mckenelley scored 11:19 into the third period.

Thunder AAA Hockey excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Thunder AAA Hockey kept Boston Advantage (MM)'s goalie busy throughout the game, and Nico Lynch made 29 saves on 34 shots.

Thunder AAA Hockey was led by ZEKE ZEIER, who finished with one goal and one assist. ZEIER scored 6:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thunder AAA Hockey. FRIEDMAN provided the assist. Thunder AAA Hockey additionally got points from FRIEDMAN, who also tallied one goal and one assist and TYLER RUNYAN, who also had one goal and one assist. Thunder AAA Hockey also had goals scored by SETH BACON and KYLE PODWIKA, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Thunder AAA Hockey were PAUL RABY and ANDREW SINARD, who contributed one each.

Boston Advantage (MM) stifled Thunder AAA Hockey's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Boston Advantage (MM) forced Thunder AAA Hockey goalie TRISTIN KUEHN to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Boston Advantage (MM) also got points from Sean Davis, who also registered one goal and one assist and Shawn Montgomery, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Boston Advantage (MM) received assists from Ricky Cronin, Billy McNally, Matt Rutigliano, and Robbie Holyoke, who each chipped in one.

KUEHN recorded 32 saves for Thunder AAA Hockey. Thunder AAA Hockey incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Boston Advantage (MM) incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
