The Grimsby Peach Kings and the Glanbrook Rangers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Grimsby made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Brennan Smith secured the win for the Peach Kings with a goal in the third period. Grimsby was sparked by Smith, who had one goal. Smith scored 17:20 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Grimsby. Joshua Celebre picked up the assist. The Peach Kings managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Grimsby finished below its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game. Glanbrook was unable to stop the Peach Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Grimsby eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. Others who scored for Grimsby included Garnet McComber and Matthew Jambrosich, who scored one goal each. In addition, Grimsby received assists from Aiden McCreadie and Nicholas Purves, who contributed one each. The Rangers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Peach Kings to score on any of their four power plays. Glanbrook did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Rangers put an average of 5.0 pucks into the net per game. Glanbrook was helped by Brett Farrelly, who had one goal. Farrelly scored on the power play 16:19 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Glanbrook. The Rangers had taken the advantage when Grimsby's Jeromy Hopkins got sent off for interference. Connor Maitz provided the assist. Glanbrook additionally got points from Brandon Kolaski, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Glanbrook came via Chris Haigh and Josh Anger, who each chipped in one. Jeremy Currie recorded 24 saves for the Peach Kings. Matthew Venturelli rejected 41 shots on goal for Glanbrook. The Rangers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For Glanbrook, Haigh was ejected from the game.
