Moriarity's hat trick boosts Dundas over Niagara, 6-2

Mitch Moriarity netted a hat trick to lead the Dundas Blues over the Niagara Riverhawks, 6-2.

Moriarity notched his first tally 14:30 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:15 into the second and at 8:29 into the third.

Dundas forced Riverhawks' goalies to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots and forcing 40 saves. Sebastian Iannone made 40 stops and Jackson Roberts APM made zero. The defensemen of the Blues were also effective in Niagara's zone, and came away with two goals.

Dundas additionally got points from Bryce Robertson, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Justin Homer, who also had one goal and three assists. Dundas also got a goal from Cam Docherty as well. More assists for Dundas came via Dan Pelosini, who had three and Ray Thompson, Clay Donnelly, Greg Harley, and Chris Cudek, who each chipped in one.

The Riverhawks were helped by Daniel Volpatti, who registered one goal. Volpatti scored 15:50 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Dundas. Andrew Somerville also scored for Niagara. In addition, Niagara received assists from Brandon McLean and Alex Cipriano, who contributed one each.

Colin Bilik made 27 saves for Dundas on 29 shots. The Blues incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Niagara incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
