Buckley leads Dundas over Glanbrook, 5-2

The Dundas Blues' Liam Buckley had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-2 win over the Glanbrook Rangers.

Buckley scored at 40 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-1 Dundas and again while 13:40 into the third to make the score 5-2 Dundas.

Dundas excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Blues forced Glanbrook goalie Alex Horawski to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Dundas additionally got points from Ray Thompson, who also had one goal and one assist, Domenic Procopio, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Cam McConnell, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for Dundas came via Bryce Robertson and Jaden Simoneau, who contributed one each and Connor King and Chris Cudek, who each chipped in two.

The Rangers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Dundas to score on any of its four power plays. Glanbrook was held below its usual level of production. The Rangers put an average of 5.3 pucks into the net per game.

Glanbrook was helped by Noah Matteson, who tallied one goal. Matteson scored 12:22 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dundas. Drew Jedrzejewicz assisted on the tally. Brad Parish also scored for Glanbrook. In addition, Glanbrook received assists from Chris Haigh, who had one.

Andrew Albano made 26 saves for the Blues on 28 shots. Dundas incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Blues, Max Giannone was ejected from the game. The Rangers' Horawski stopped 28 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Glanbrook incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
