The Dunnville Jr. Mudcats and the Grimsby Peach Kings skate to 1-1 (OT) tie

Grimsby found itself down againt Dunnville, but battled back to secure to a tie.

The Jr. Mudcats could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Dunnville averages 3.9 goals per game.

The Jr. Mudcats were led by Dane Koabel, who scored the team's only goal. Koabel scored on the power play 9:01 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Dunnville. Dunnville earned a power play opportunity when Garnet McComber was put in the box for interference. Luke Rowe picked up the assist.

The Peach Kings did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Grimsby puts an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game. The Peach Kings forced the Jr. Mudcats goalie Jesse Schoeman to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

Grimsby was led by Brennan Smith, who scored the team's only goal. Smith scored on the power play 13:49 into the third period to make the score 1-1. The Peach Kings had taken the advantage when Dunnville's Travis Sheldrake got sent off for kneeing. Daniel Scotland assisted on the tally.

Schoeman rejected 41 shots on goal for the Jr. Mudcats. Dunnville incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jeremy Currie recorded 26 saves for Grimsby. The Peach Kings incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
