Glanbrook holds on for 4-3 win against DundasGlanbrook Arena Wed, Oct 28, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Dundas Blues tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Glanbrook Rangers held on for a 4-3 victory. Glanbrook made the score 4-2 on a goal by Curtis Zahorodni at 14:55 in the second period, and Dundas got as close as 4-3 when Clay Donnelly scored 7:27 into the third period. Chris Haigh had a great game for the Rangers, netting two goals. Haigh scored on the power play at 12:41 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 14:21 into the second to make the score 3-1 Glanbrook. Glanbrook forced Blues' netminders to work all game long, launching 35 shots and forcing 31 saves. Andrew Albano made 13 stops and Colin Bilik made 18. The Rangers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Blues to score on any of their five power plays. Glanbrook additionally got points from Brad Parish, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Glanbrook received assists from Brandon Kolaski, who had two and Josh Pace, Garnet Batrynchuk, Matthew Hogan, and Cole Anderson, who each chipped in one. Dundas was helped by Cam McConnell, who registered one goal. McConnell scored 14:37 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Glanbrook. Quinn Sallows assisted on the tally. Justin Homer also scored for Dundas. Other players who recorded assists for Dundas were Dan Pelosini and Carson MacRae, who contributed one each. Matthew Venturelli made 18 saves for Glanbrook on 21 shots. The Rangers totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 3-for-6 on the power play. Team's Pace and Nicholas Sherwood were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. The Blues incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
