Steven Tiemey was superb between the pipes for the Hagersville Hawks, as he did not allow a goal in a 5-0 victory over the Grimsby Peach Kings. Dan Mederios was all over the ice for Hagersville, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Mederios scored the first of his two goals at 17:48 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hagersville. MIchael Arch provided the assist. Mederios' next tally made the score 3-0 Hagersville with 8:47 left in the third period. Bailey Fletcher assisted on the tally. The Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Grimsby power plays. Hagersville kept Grimsby's goalie busy throughout the game, and Marcus Hlywka made 26 saves on 31 shots. Hagersville also got points from Mitch Green, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Hagersville included Max Gunter and Derek Friesen, who each put in one. More assists for Hagersville came via Cole Martin, who had one and Travis Bell, who had two. The Peach Kings' offense rang up 43 shots on the Hawks' net. Tiemey rejected 43 shots on goal for Hagersville. The Hawks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Grimsby incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
