Alex Johanson was all over the ice for Atlanta, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Atlanta's 6-0 win over Louisiana.

Johanson scored 3:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Atlanta. Arturas Laukaitis picked up the assist. Johanson dished an assist on Laukaitis' goal that made the score 2-0 Atlanta at 11:12 into the first period. He added another helper on Kyle Rimbach's goal that made the score 5-0 Atlanta at 7:07 into the second period.

Atlanta forced Louisiana's goalies to work between the pipes, racking up 55 shots and forcing 49 saves. Sean Angle made 17 stops and Santeri Seppinen made 32. Atlanta stifled Louisiana's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Atlanta's defensive play was more effective than usual against Louisiana. Atlanta allows 2.7 goals per game.

Atlanta additionally got points from Rimbach, who also registered one goal and two assists and Laukaitis, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Atlanta also had goals scored by Riley Hummitsch and Ross Bartlett, who scored one goal each. In addition, Atlanta received assists from Jacob Roers, Drew Kelly, Jack Cleaver, Frank Trazzera, and Jesse Brown, who each chipped in one.

Louisiana did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Louisiana puts an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game. Atlanta's defense shut down Louisiana's forwards for much of the game, and Louisiana got off only nine shots during the contest.
