Euless falls apart in second, loses to Texas, 5-1

Euless was within striking distance after one period, but Texas put the pedal down in the second en route to a 5-1 victory.

Texas was led by Brock Brown, who had one goal. Brown scored on the power play 7:09 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Texas. Texas had taken the advantage when Euless' Quincy Childress got sent off for tripping. Nick Nitta provided the assist.

Texas' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Euless power plays. Euless was unable to stop Texas from sending pucks towards the net, and Texas eventually piled up 48 shots on goal.

Texas also got points from Bryan Whelan, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Ryan Dunner, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Zack Andersen, who also registered one goal and one assist. Texas also got a goal from Victor Ekk as well. More assists for Texas came via Kyle Galloway and Sam Gagnon, who contributed one each.

Brandon Perrone rejected 19 shots on goal for Texas. Texas incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Thomas Bailey made 43 saves for Euless on 48 shots. Euless incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
