Peoria blows out Evansville, 4-0

Peoria had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over Evansville.

Peoria was sparked by Austin Wisely, who racked up one goal and one assist. Wisely scored 1:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Peoria. Jason Hoehn provided the assist.

Peoria put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Evansville to score on any of its three power plays. Peoria's defensive effort looked to be improved. Peoria gives up 2.8 goals on average per game. Evansville was unable to stop Peoria from sending pucks towards the net, and Peoria eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

Peoria additionally got points from Hoehn, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Peoria also had goals scored by Zach Cox and Anthony Iacullo, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Levi Armstrong, who had two and Dane Federighi, Chance Homerin, Aaron Siegrist, and Thomas Kolaz, who each chipped in one.

Evansville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Evansville's offense operated below its season average. Evansville puts an average of 2.2 pucks into the net per game.
