Yellowstone survived a determined comeback attempt by Bozeman on the way to a 2-1 win.

Yellowstone made the score 2-0 on a goal by Will Landsverk at 9:00 in the second period, and Bozeman got as close as 2-1 when Elliott Hopkins scored 8:42 into the third period.

Yellowstone was led by goalie Garret Matz, who finished with 33 saves while allowing one goal. Matz managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.77 prior to the game.
