Cincinnati rides Geloneck to victory over Pittsburgh, 4-1Cincinnati Gardens Sun, Feb 14, 2016 Story by Narrative Science.
Cincinnati relied on the sparkling performance of Tyler Geloneck in net to grab a 4-1 win against Pittsburgh. Cincinnati was led by Kyle Kinnaman, who finished with one goal. Kinnaman scored 3:44 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cincinnati. Rory Callihan provided the assist. Cincinnati excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Cincinnati also got a goal from Albert Janele as well. More assists for Cincinnati came via Hunter Schneider, who had two and Andrew Kraska and Jacob Friedman, who contributed one each. Pittsburgh was led by Brian Dee, who scored the team's only goal. Dee scored 19 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Pittsburgh. Gavin Cummings picked up the assist. Cincinnati's Geloneck stopped 26 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Cincinnati totaled 36 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors and went 1-for-5 on the power play. For Cincinnati, Friedman was ejected from the game. Adam Provaznik took the loss and made 12 saves before being replaced by Daniel Lee who made seven saves. Pittsburgh incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
