Pittsburgh tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but Metro held on for a 5-3 victory. A goal by Jacob Gleason put Metro up 5-1 in the third period, but Pittsburgh pulled to within two on James Unger's tally 19:38 into the third period. Metro kept Pittsburgh's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jacob Stack made 39 saves on 44 shots. Metro was helped by Kevin Shand, who tallied one goal and one assist. Shand scored 18:32 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Metro. Michael Tratar picked up the assist. Metro additionally got points from Pearce Vance, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Mathias Tellstrom, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Chas Distelrath, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Metro came via Mark Vansaw, Marc Schwartz, Devin Kelly, and Chase Sereno, who contributed one each. Pittsburgh was led by Brian Dee, who registered one goal and one assist. Dee scored 5:17 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Elijah Williams provided the assist. Pittsburgh also got a goal from Dominick Glavach as well.
