Billings climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat Bozeman, 4-3.

Billings never led in the game until netting the game winner. Billings trailed 3-1 after a goal by Bozeman's Steven Nisbet at 17:39 in the first period. Billings knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Chris Nicolai at 13:23 in the second period. Billings scored the game winner at 9:50 in the third period on a goal by Nicolai.

With three goals and two assists between them, Dillon Steh and Keith Gustin teamed up to power Billings' offense. Steh registered two goals and one assist and Gustin also notched one goal and one assist.

Billings put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Bozeman to score on any of its four power plays.

Billings additionally got points from Gustin, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Billings received assists from Jeremy Vandekerkhove, who had three and Zach Heiser, Edward Hoppmann, and Mason Graves, who contributed one each.

Bozeman managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for 12 minutes in penalty time. Bozeman wound up below its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game. Bozeman forced Billings goalie Gage Overby to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Bozeman also got points from Dylan Michaud, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. More assists for Bozeman came via Elliott Hopkins and Nicholas Thompson, who each chipped in one.

Overby rejected 34 shots on goal for Billings. Billings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Bozeman's starting goalie, Stephen Frank, made 12 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Charlie Smart, who stopped three shots.
