Peoria blows out Cincinnati, 6-1

Peoria had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over Cincinnati.

Jason Hoehn was all over the ice for Peoria, as he finished with two goals in the win. Hoehn found the back of the net 13:17 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Peoria and again while short handed 10:52 into the second to make the score 5-0 Peoria.

Peoria forced Cincinnati's goaltenders to work in net, taking 36 shots and forcing 30 saves. Tyler Geloneck made 21 stops and Daniel Dolliver made nine. Peoria's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Cincinnati power plays.

Peoria additionally got points from Anthony Iacullo, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Peoria included Thomas Kolaz, Nathan Marlow, and Lorenzo Santiago, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Peoria were Chance Homerin, who had two and Dane Federighi, Tyler Kuhn, Aaron Siegrist, and Andrej Buchko, who each chipped in one.

Cincinnati stifled Peoria's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Nic Piech made 18 saves for Peoria on 19 shots. Peoria incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Cincinnati incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
