Nashville downs Evansville, 4-1

Josh Hill registered one point to lead Nashville to a 4-1 victory over Evansville.

Nashville stifled Evansville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Nashville's offense rang up 50 shots on Evansville's net.

Nashville additionally got points from Brock James, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Nashville also had goals scored by Riley McCann and Nathan Rieman, who scored one goal each. In addition, Nashville received assists from Dylan Schmidt, who had two and Brandon Orth, Logan Orem, Trent Kulczyk, Kyle Van Wyk, and Colton Anderson, who each chipped in one.

Evansville found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 14 shots against Nashville's defense. Evansville struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 34 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays.

Evansville was led by Mathieu Laforest, who scored the team's only goal. Laforest scored 5:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Evansville. Brandon Rozema provided the assist.

Nashville's Nicholas Ottenbacher stopped 13 shots out of the 14 that he faced. Nashville incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Adam Conkling made 46 saves for Evansville on 50 shots. Evansville registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
