Metro used a four-goal second period to put away Southern Tier, 6-1.

Kevin Shand had two goals and one assist to lead Metro. Shand scored the first of his two goals at 10:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Metro. Michael Tratar picked up the assist. Shand's next tally made the score 2-0 Metro with 18:24 left in the second period. Jacob Rutkoske provided the assist.

Metro's offense rang up 62 shots on Southern Tier's net.

Metro additionally got points from Mathias Tellstrom, who also registered one goal and one assist and Chas Distelrath, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Southern Tier was led by Jacob St. Andre, who scored the team's only goal. St. Andre scored on the power play 9:18 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Metro. A roughing penalty on Vance had put Southern Tier on the power play. Luke Grossman picked up the assist.

Metro's Austin Kane stopped 23 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Metro incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Timothy OSullivan made 56 saves for Southern Tier on 62 shots. Southern Tier incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
