Hoehn nets hat trick, leads Peoria to 5-3 win over Nashville

Jason Hoehn netted a hat trick to lead Peoria over Nashville, 5-3.

Hoehn got on the scoresheet 8:26 into the second period. He then added goals at 9:50 into the third and at 16:28 into the third.

Peoria excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Peoria also had goals scored by Zach Cox and Chance Homerin, who each put in one. In addition, Peoria received assists from Dane Federighi, Levi Armstrong, Aaron Siegrist, Andrej Buchko, and Austin Wisely, who each chipped in one.

Nashville gave up more goals than its normal season average. Nashville averages 2.5 goals allowed per game.

Nashville was helped by Logan Orem, who had one goal. Orem scored 18:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nashville. Conor Cunningham assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Nashville included Riley McCann and Max Dorfman, who scored one goal each. More assists for Nashville came via Peter Cabala, Michael Redmon, Trent Kulczyk, Colton Anderson, and Nathan Rieman, who contributed one each.

Ross Lipic rejected 16 shots on goal for Peoria. Peoria incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Nashville's Nicholas Ottenbacher stopped 25 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Nashville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
