Huge game by Trapp boosts La Crosse over Minnesota, 4-0

La Crosse pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 12 penalty minutes.

La Crosse stifled Minnesota's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.Minnesota were unable to stop La Crosse from sending pucks towards the net, and La Crosse eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.La Crosse's defense was surprisingly good. La Crosse averages 2.7 goals allowed per game.

La Crosse additionally got points from Daniel Toycen, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. La Crosse also got a goal from Brady Thiering as well. In addition, La Crosse received assists from Sam Wenner, who had two and Kadin Machusak, Jared Bromberg, and Reid Brown, who each chipped in one.

Minnesota put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow La Crosse to score on any of their four power plays.Minnesota were held below their usual level of production. Minnesota averages 2.6 goals per game.

La Crosse incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Minnesota incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with two minors. For Minnesota, Jacob Aberwald was ejected from the game.
