Sugar Land outlasts Euless, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Sugar Land escaped with a 4-2 victory over Euless.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Michael Crowley secured the win for Sugar Land with a goal in the second period.

Jonathan Adnell had two goals and one assist to lead Sugar Land. Adnell scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 7:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Sugar Land. Sugar Land had gained a power play chance when Jason Moore was whistled for roughing. Matt DeNure picked up the assist. Adnell's next tally on the power play made the score 4-2 Sugar Land with 6:23 left in the third period. Zac McKenna assisted on the tally.

Sugar Land forced Euless goalie Joshua Beatty to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots.

Sugar Land also got a goal from Kyle Hooper as well. Other players who recorded assists for Sugar Land were Alex Norwinski, Chris Conlin, and Frank Muscarella, who each chipped in one.

Euless kept Sugar Land's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kevin Mackey made 30 saves on 32 shots. Euless got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Euless found itself short handed often, totaling 30 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays.

Euless was helped by Axel Olson, who had one goal. Olson scored 13:06 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Sugar Land. Kayne Fedor picked up the assist. Kyle Dudley also scored for Euless. In addition, Euless received assists from Nick Snyder and Anthony Chavez, who contributed one each.

Sugar Land incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Joshua Beatty made 43 saves for Euless on 47 shots. Euless registered one goal on three power play opportunities.
