Euless survives Louisiana comeback, wins 4-3

Louisiana tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but Euless would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Wyatt Gentry put Euless up 4-2 in the third period, but Louisiana pulled to within one on Jeremy Brown's tally 10:44 into the third period.

Louisiana's power play was ineffective against Euless' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Euless forced Louisiana goalie Logan Quebedeaux to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

Euless also got points from Brandon Wade, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Kayne Fedor, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Nick Snyder also scored for Euless. Other players who recorded assists for Euless were Benjamin Kraus and Anthony Chavez, who contributed one each.

Louisiana could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Louisiana was helped by Joshua Jorajuria, who finished with one goal. Jorajuria scored 5:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Louisiana. Jacob Istre provided the assist. Louisiana also got a goal from Charles Credeur as well. More assists for Louisiana came via Joshua Lodatto, who had two and Emerson Keith and Mitch Dolese, who each chipped in one.

Thomas Bailey recorded 27 saves for Euless. Euless totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 3-for-7 on the power play. Euless ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Quincy Childress was ejected from the game. Louisiana's Quebedeaux stopped 38 shots out of the 42 that he faced.
